These beans are separated from the regular beans during processing and sold as a specialty coffee.

Where are Peaberry coffee beans found?

Peaberry coffee beans are mostly found in Tanzania. However, they can also be found in other regions such as Brazil, Hawaii, and Kenya. The specific flavor profile of Peaberry coffee can vary depending on the region where it is grown, as well as the specific variety of coffee plant. Our Fazenda Peaberry coffee is grown in the Cerrado region of Brazil, which is known for its ideal coffee growing conditions such as high altitude, sunny weather, and well-defined wet and dry seasons. It is a single-origin coffee and is Rain Forest Alliance Certified.

While the majority of Peaberry coffee beans are Arabica, there are also some Peaberry Robusta beans available. However, Arabica Peaberry coffee is generally considered to be of higher quality than Robusta Peaberry coffee, as Arabica beans tend to have a more complex and desirable flavor profile.
